Judge Dredd: Cry of the Werewolf
by Alan Grant, John Wagner, and others
Rebellion/Simon & Schuster, $18, 128pp
Release Date: September 18, 2012
A collection of three storylines from 2000AD magazine, which were first serialized in 1983-2010. For the newbies, Judge Dredd is a lawman in a post-apocalyptic future of loosely allied city states called mega-cities, analogous to modern nations. The rule of law is harsh and carried out by motorcycle judges on the beat, without the old ways of lawyers or juries. The main story here is about a race of werewolves living under Mega-City One, built over the ruins of New York City . Later stories concern similar creatures from old Europe or Navajo skin walkers. See Judge Dredd turned into a werewolf! ~~ Mike Griffin
