Patterns of the Wheel Coloring Art based on Robert Jordan s Wheel of Time
Illustrated by Amy Romanczuk
TOR; $13.99; 96pp
Published: October 2016
Amy Romanczuk is officially licensed by those that own the rights to The Wheel of Time fantasy novels by the late Robert Jordan. The drawings are inspired by the Ukrainian folk art style called pysanky. The illustrations are whimsical and delightful without being overly convoluted and will be easy to color in. The pictures are accompanied by appropriate quotes from the fifteen books in the series. (Jordan passed away in 2007 and author Brandon Sanderson completed the last three novels based on extensive notes by Jordan).
Not only is The Wheel of Time extremely popular, but the books have been sold to television to become a series (ala Game of Thrones, perhaps?). As of November 2016 though, no specific studio or network had been identified yet. Stay tuned. ~~ Sue Martin
