Working for Bigfoot
by Jim Butcher
Subterreanan Press, $35.00, 129pp
Published: June 2015

This is a collection volume of three short stories from The Dresden Files that have been previously published in separate anthologies.  All three revolve around a very special client of Harry’s:  Bigfoot.

The first story is about Bigfoot’s little son and a bully in school.  The second is when the son is a teenager and some trouble he got from the school administration.  And the third is when the son is at college and discovers other supernatural types.  These bald descriptions don’t really give you the sense of fun these stories impart.  None of these are the dark, everyone-will-die type stories; these were cute and fun.

Now I know a lot of folks will shrink at the pricetag and the page count.  It’s true that Sub Press books cost an arm and a few fingers; but I figure I’m helping Butcher pay his mortgage and I’m okay with that.  I got a couple hours of light fun and entertainment while waiting for the next epic Dresden story.  ~~  Catherine Book
