The Dark Ascent
by Walter K. Hunt
Tor, $7.99, 464pp
Release Date: July 28, 2005

Walter H. Hunt is the author of the Dark Wing series. Dark Ascent is number three.

The human-Zor war is long over and human-Zor allies now face the shape changing Vuhl. However this is more like a game than a war. This very thoughtful space opera considers genocide and enmity in a whole new light. This is a complex military sci fi with shades of Orson Scott Card and David Weber taking part. It is impossible to break out story and action from the marvelous characterization.

Keep going Mr. Hunt, while I try to get all of the series. I think I am in literary love. ~~ Pam Allan
