Honor Among Thieves
by David Chandler
Harper, $7.99, 531 pp
Release Date: November 29, 2011

This is book three of the Ancient Blades trilogy.

Malden was chosen to carry one of the ancient blades, to act as a savior, but he failed as the barbarian hordes invaded and pillaged the kingdom. Friends and former supporters alike covet his blade while seeking his destruction.

It will take more than his makeshift army to preserve a realm. Luckily, the witch Cynthera fights beside him along with the dwarf Slag, but the wily thief has a plan or two up his sleeve.

This is action packed with humor. A tiny dollop of romance in passing and more honor among those who are not supposed to have it. It is fast-paced, readable as in: you can't put it down. I hope to see more from this author. There is room for the trilogy to spawn more adventures.  Give this one four stars. ~~ Pam Allan
