Courts of the Fey
Edited by: Martin H. Greenberg and Russell Davis
Daw, $7.99 310pp
Release Date: November 1, 2011

These short stories are all connected by the Seelie or Unseelie courts and that is where the similarities end. As Davis writes in his introduction, no two magicians do the same trick in the same way. In this vein, no two of these stories go in the same direction.

I was taken by the imagery invoked by the various writers. From the stark viciousness of Gallow’s Rescue to the unique solution of Mushroom Clouds and Fairy Rings, this is a wonderfully eclectic collection and a great way to spend an afternoon.

Highly Recommended. ~~ Bob LaPierre
