A Rat's Tale

This was a very fun children’s book about two rats from different walks of life and how they found their destiny. Pemba was born to two ordinary rats but she was far from ordinary. She was a throwback to the giant rats of old. Unfortunately, she didn’t fit in very well and she had to leave her village to spare her family and friends. She just couldn’t quit nibbling on everyone’s houses.

Meanwhile, in Rattovia, young Prince Alden was being sent away by his father on a quest to find more giant rats lest their line die out. Of course, the two young giant rats did encounter each other and it was love at first sight.

My 4-1/2-year-old granddaughter was really taken by this story. I was surprised at how interested she became. Good thing I had the second story ready to go…. ~~ Catherine Book & Adrienne
